“Whoever travels without a guide,
needs two hundred years for a two-day journey.”
Ceremony
Once trust is established and a strong foundation built, we’ll begin the next phase of our adventure together. As the sun goes down, and the moon begins to rise, we’ll meet in the Temple, on the land where my family and I live. Bathed in candlelight, and protected by the surrounding trees and mountains, we’ll open up the space with sacred incantations, mystical prayers and powerful intention.
Calling in the support of the land, the ancestors, the seen and unseen forces holding and protecting us, we’ll start to weave an altar into being together.
Then we will begin.
Nighttime ceremonies usually last between 6-8 hours long. That is about the only thing that is usual about them. We never know how it will all unfold or what or who will move through the space.
As we ride the edge of uncertainty we will open ourselves to the possibility of unfolding layers of grief, sadness and hurt as well as deep relief and lasting healing. Throughout the experience I will hold you with commitment, care, excellence and integrity.
There will be long periods of stillness and silence. There will also be music, singing, dancing, drumming, and above all else laughter, joy and play. This won’t be a Caravan of Despair.
We’ll end by walking on the earth, eating good food, and sharing about what we've begun to uncover.
